Stuart Anderson is a Scottish midfielder who was born in Aberdeen on 22nd April 1986. Anderson began his career with Southampton. He featured for Scotland at U17 and U18, and formed a good midfield partnership in the Saints youth team with Simon Gillett. Anderson is a well rounded player, possessing a good range of passing and ball winning skills. He was released by Southampton in the summer of 2004.

Later that year Anderson joined League One side Blackpool on a free transfer. He made his debut for the Tangerines in a 2-2 draw at Swindon. Anderson made just three more appearances during 2004/05. More often than not he was involved in the clubs reserve program. He played in just one Carling Cup tie the following campaign, before joining Scottish 1st Division outfit Ross County in January 2006. He left Blackpool for good in June 2006.

After leaving Bloomfield Road Anderson spent months out of the game, unable to find a new club. He was finally offered a short term deal by Livingston in March 2007, where he stayed until the end of the season. Anderson found his level in 2007/08 when he signed for Scottish 2nd division side Peterhead. He quickly became a regular for the club, scoring on his debut against Alloa on 4th August 2007. Anderson had his best ever season during 2008/09, scoring 8 goals as Peterhead reached the play-offs.

In 2009/10 Anderson joined Salisbury for a season before returning to Peterhead a year later. He went back to Salisbury in 2011 as he had been offered a job in Southampton.
