Sean Rudd

Sean Rudd is a former English centre half. Rudd starred for Vale of White Horse Under 15 side before being snapped up by Oxford United. In 2004, he signed for Southampton, joining fellow Oxford boys Dexter Blackstock and Josh Dutton-Black. He was part of the clubs very successful youth setup. Saints won the academy league in 2004/05 and were also runners up in the FA Youth Cup final. Rudd didn't make the grade at St Marys and was released by the club without a single first team appearance. After a few unsuccessful trials - including one at former club Oxford, Rudd was forced to retire from football through injury.
