Omar Rowe

Omar Rowe is an English winger of Jamaican descent who was born on 30th October 1994. Rowe began his youth career at West Ham, before joining Southampton as an U16. He was in and out of the U18 starting eleven during 2011/12, but really came into his own during the 2012/13 campaign. Rowe's style of play is very easy on the eye. He is a quick, skilful winger who is also very adept from set pieces. He put in a sterling showing in a 2-1 win over Man United at Staplewood in October 2012. Rowe shone for the U18s throughout his second year at a scholar. In early 2013 he was promoted to the U21 squad. Rowe made the step up seamlessly, and scored a number of impressive goals, including one in a 2-0 win over West Brom. He was handed a professional contract during the summer of 2013.

Rowe began the 2013/14 season in stunning fashion. He scored six in pre-season, and also netted in the first two U21 league games against Liverpool (x2) and Chelsea. He was rewarded with a place in Mauricio Pochettino's squad for the League Cup game at Barnsley on 27th August 2013.
