Mark Peters is a English striker who was born on 4th October 1983 in Frimley. Peters began his career with Southampton, and earned comparisons to Alan Shearer in his days as an apprentice. He failed to make the grade however, with Saints releasing the player in February 2002.
Peters signed with Division 2 outfit Brentford on his Southampton release. He spent the first few months in the reserves, before making his Griffin Park debut on 19th October 2002. Peters appeared infrequently from the bench for the Bees during 2002/03. He did his cause no favours on 8th March 2003 when he was sent off in a 4-0 defeat at Wycombe. Peters netted his first goal against QPR on 19th April 2003. The former Saints man failed to impress during 2003/04, before dropping down to Conference side Farnborough in March 2004. He was only there for a couple of months before departing for pastures new.
