Lee Molynuex is an English left back who was born in Huyton on 24th February 1989. Molynuex began his career with Everton, joining the clubs academy at the age of 11. The full back made his debut for the reserves at 16, and also featured at Under 16, 17 and 18 levels for England. The highlight of Molynuex's spell at Everton came in a reserve game against rivals Liverpool where he scored direct from a free kick in a 3-2 win.
Molynuex signed a two and a half year deal with Southampton on 2nd January 2009. He made a reasonably solid debut on January 10th in a 1-0 win at Barnsley. Molynuex only played three further matches for Saints, the last coming on January 31st 2009, where he was sent off against Swansea. The former Everton teenager showed nothing to suggest he was capable of cutting it at Championship level, and was loaned to Port Vale on 25th March 2009, but failed to make a first team appearance for Mickey Adams side. After spending the entire 2009/10 season on the sidelines, Molynuex had his contract terminated by mutual consent on 21st June 2010.
Molynuex joined Plymouth Argyle on 3rd August 2010 on a 5 month deal, after a successful trial with the Devon club. Molynuex made his debut for The Pilgrims against his former side Southampton on 7th August 2010, and helped the club to 1-0 victory. Molynuex played 12 times for Plymouth before his contract expired on 1st January 2011. The left back's final game at Home Park was a 4-0 home defeat in the FA Cup against Swindon on 6th November.
