Kyle Davies is an American defender who was born in Danville, California to English parents on April 11th 1989. Davies moved to Southampton in February 2007, having been a member of the US National U-17 Residency in Bradenton, Florida. The United States centre back was a regular for Saints reserve and academy sides, but failed to make a single first team appearance for the club before being released in May 2009. Despite a lack of playing time at Southampton, Davies represented his country at under 20 level, winning his first cap in 2007. He missed out on playing in the 2007 U-20 World Cup after suffering a broken leg. Kyle returned to captain the side in the 2009 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.

In the summer of 2009 Davies signed a four year deal with Major League Soccer. He was drafted to Real Salt Lake, before being traded to FC Dallas. Davies made his Dallas debut on 13th June 2009. The American clocked up 795 minutes on the pitch for The Hoops in 2009, but missed much of the 2010 season after fracturing his arm on the opening day of the campaign. On 5th May 2011 Davies was waived by Dallas, before being picked up by Los Angeles Galaxy six days later. He rubbed shoulders with the likes of David Beckham and Landon Donovan before being traded to Toronto on 15th September 2011. Davies made just one appearance for the Canadian’s. In February 2012 he moved to USL Pro – the third tier of US football – to join Orlando City.
