James Shea

James Shea is an English goal keeper who was born on June 16th 1991. Shea joined Arsenal in August 2007. He was part of the clubs academy side that won the league and cup double in 2008/09. The following season Shea played six times for The Gunners reserve side and was on the bench for the senior side on September 22nd 2009 when Arsenal beat West Brom 2-0 in the Carling Cup.

Shea was loaned to Southampton for a month on February 18th 2011. He was brought in as cover when regular reserve keeper Bartosz Bialkowski was injured. Shea was on the bench at Hartlepool on February 22nd and again against Swindon four days later, but was recalled to Arsenal after an injury crisis left The Gunners with just one senior keeper. Shea was on the bench for Arsenal in their FA Cup defeat to Manchester United on 12th March 2011.

In July 2011 Shea signed with League 2 outfit Dagenham and Redbridge on loan for the season.
