Harlee Dean is an English midfielder born in Basingstoke on 26th July 1991. Dean began his career as a youth team player at Dagenham and Redbridge. Dean had three successful loan spells at non league clubs during the 2008/09 season, first at Redbridge where he scored four times in 15 games, and later with Bishop's Stortford and Thurrock.

Dean made his first appearance for Dagenham and Redbridge's senior side as a late sub against Port Vale on 31st October 2009 and was involved in Josh Scott's late equaliser for The Daggers in a 1-1 draw. Dean would also spend time on loan to Grays Athletic and Braintree during 2009/10.

On 28th August 2010 Dean signed a two year contract with Southampton. He was a key man in Saints under 21 side during 2010/11. Dean secured a spot on the bench for the first team on 4th December 2010 in a home defeat to Brentford. He was loaned to Bishop's Stortford for a second time in February.

Dean was an unused substitute for Saints in Carling Cup games at Swindon and Crystal Palace in 2011/12. On 24th November 2011 he signed a loan deal with Brentford until Janaury 8th 2012. He would remain at Griffin Park until the end of the season. He scored his first senior goal in a 4-0 televised win over Carlisle on 20th February 2012.

Dean left Saints in May 2012 when his contract expired.
